Water pressure is created by pumping filtered stream water to tanks on the hill behind the facility. The system has been designed to harness the energy of the stream through a water wheel to pump the water around 25 metres uphill to the water tanks.

All sewage and waste water is processed through an environmentally sound septic sytem that filters waste and sends excess water through multiple layers of sediment before it joins the natural water table and finally the river.

The septic system has been designed to have a minimum impact on the local ecosystem. Routine checks are performed to ensure structural integrity is maintained and that the system operates efficiently.
