CREES employs a mix of local and indigenous staff at the Manu Learning Centre to perform a variety of functions. While some tasks require dedicated personnel (like cooking), most staff are multi-functional and are qualified to drive the 'peke peke' boat as well as act as trail guides.

CREES has a training programme for all staff working at the Manu Learning Centre which incorporates safety procedures as well as basic customer service. The manager of the facility speaks both Spanish and English and is qualified in first aid.
