“Transforming people into Ambassadors of Manu” is more than just a slogan — it’s the reason we exist.
At Crees Manu, we believe that real change begins when people connect deeply with the rainforest and its story. Researchers, students, photographers, and travellers join us every year. Each brings their own purpose — but all share a mission:
to support the regeneration and conservation of Manu’s rainforests.
What does Crees mean?
Our name, Crees, comes from the Spanish verb creer — to believe.
It means “you believe”, or “you believe in something”.
It’s also a question: Do you believe?
Do you believe your actions can make a difference in Manu?
Do you believe in the power of education, research and community to rebuild ecosystems?
If the answer is yes —
you’re already on the path to becoming an Ambassador of Manu.

Then who is an Ambassador?
An Ambassador of Manu is someone who doesn’t just visit — they believe.
They believe in the value of conservation, the power of restoration, and the importance of sharing these values with others.
The journey begins here, but it doesn’t end when you leave the rainforest.
You become an Ambassador of Manu when your experience transforms how you act in the world.
When the time you’ve spent here shapes your choices, your conversations, your vision for the future.
When you take what you’ve learned — and use it to inspire action beyond the jungle.
Because anyone can talk about conservation. But those who believe live it — with purpose and passion.
There’s no checklist. No fixed number of things you need to do.
It all starts with something simple — yet powerful:
To believe, so that we may begin again.
